Guided tour to the Marmolada - Dolomites
Ascent to the roof of the Dolomites with a mountain guide
Ascent to the Marmolada: be accompanied by a mountain guide! The Marmolada is a very special summit within the Adventure ! ,because of its features. With its height and the extensive Glacier It is clearly different from the predominantly rock-dominated neighbouring peaks. As the highest peak in the Dolomites, the Marmolada is home to the only glacier in the Dolomites. The normal route to the roof of the Dolomites runs over it.
The ascent over the Marmolada glacier requires solid hiking tecniques and, above all, a good level of fitness to master the 1300 metres of ascent without any problems. Due to the progressive retreat of the glacier, the route conditions have changed noticeably in recent years: Careful route selection and good timing are required to cope with the current conditions. The glacier not only characterises the landscape, but also determines the character of the tour.
The short climbing sections on rock are well protected with a via ferrata. Here, my guidance as a mountain guide offers additional safety. Technically, the route remains moderate, but the length of the tour, the altitude and the objective dangers should not be underestimated. The Marmolada in particular shows how important experience and a good overview are - qualities that a Mountain guide adds to your outing.
The Marmolada epitomises serious, classic alpinism in the Adventure !. Those who take on this mountain will experience a balanced combination of glacier climbing, easy rock climbing and a high alpine atmosphere - impressive, challenging and a memorz which will last forever.

Marmolada West Ridge
The West Ridge on the Marmolada offers an exciting alternative to the normal route. Technically quite a bit more difficult. The ascent is via the Forcella-Marmolada and then via an airy ridge (via ferrata) that offers a tremendous view of the Val d'Ombretta and the Val Contrin. The via ferrata is long, sustained and strenuous.
