ORTLER, GROSSGLOCKNER OR SPAGHETTI TOUR ?
Let yourself be guided to your dream summit
As a mountain guide, I will accompany you to the highest peaks in South Tyrol as well as to the 4000 metre peaks of the Western Alps.
High altitude means thin air but also endurance in your legs. Good acclimatisation and preparation are important here!
Bear in mind: In order to minimise risks on high-altitude and glacier tours, especially in times of climate change, conditions, temperatures and circumstances must always be taken into account. The ideal time of year for classic tours in the high mountains is now June to mid-July. Even in late summer (September), conditions are often good again after a few snowfalls. North faces or ice climbs in altitude are usually in better conditions in spring or autumn: „Catching“ the right moment is part of the challenge in the high mountains.
As a mountain guide, I will be happy to help you to choose the right peak or climb according to your experience, check the conditions and optimise the climb when on the mountain.
ORTLER NORMAL ROUTE
The Ortler, the highest mountain in South Tyrol: although just short of the 4000 metre mark, the normal route up the Ortler can certainly compete with major tours in the Western Alps.
The starting point for the Ortler normal route is the Payerhütte. We reach it from Sulden by chairlift and then in 2 hours on foot.
The tour to the summit takes about 4 hours. Initially over rock and an exposed ridge with some exposed climbing sections in the second grade. The second part of the tour takes place over the relatively mild Ortlerferner (glacier) to the summit. Descent via the ascent route.

GUIDED CLIMBS TO THE 4000 METER PEAKS OF THE ALPS
I will be happy to guide you and your group up one of the 82 4000 metre peaks in the Alps. There is something for every level: be it the Allaninhorn or the Breithorn, suitable for beginners with little or no experience in the high mountains. But there are also difficult and demanding tours such as the Hörnligrad on the Matterhorn or less well-known but no less beautiful peaks such as the Obergabelhorn.
I am happy to help to create a personalised programme together, including acclimatisation for the main goal or multi day hut to hut traverses.
