Iconic peaks of the Dolomites

The Tre Cime (Three Peaks) are probably the most photographed mountains in the Dolomites and also the most famous. The typical picture of the Tre Cime shows them from their north side. There are some great climbs on the north faces, such as the Comici on the Cima Grande (Central Summit) or the Cassin Guide on the Western Summit (Cima Ovest).

On the south side, the summits are relatively easy to reach with a mountain guide. This does not mean that the normal routes should be underestimated: With a good level of fitness, surefootedness and third degree climbing ability, any mountaineer can reach the summits of the Grosse and Westliche Zinne. The normal route to the Kleine Zinne, on the other hand, is more like a steep climbing tour: here you climb in the third and fourth degree.

Cima Grande di Lavaredo

The Cima grande is probably the most popular summit of the Three Peaks. The Normal route to the summit is beautiful and requires a good feel for alpine terrain. You are in safe hands here with a mountain guide.

Western Summit ( Cima Ovest)

The Cima Ovest is technically easier than the Cima Ovest and the difficulties are less persistent. Seeing less trafic than its larger neighbour, this peak offers an unforgettable adventure with a mountain guide.

Cima Piccola ( Small Summit)

The normal route up the Kleine Zinne is technically the most difficult of the three peaks. This tour is almost more like a classic multi-pitch climb than a normal route. Here the climbing is sustained and up to grade four.
