VIA FERRATA IN THE DOLOMITES WITH A MOUNTAIN GUIDE

DISCOVER INCREDIBLE „VIA FERRATAS“

As a mountain guide, I will guide you or your group on one of the Dolomites' countless via ferratas.

The first via ferratas in the Alps were probably built in the Dolomites: During the First World War, iron cables, ladders and ropes were fixed here to make it easier to move around the mountains at the front. Many of today's via ferratas in the Dolomites still follow these original „Via Ferratas“. Here it is not unusual to come across bomb fragments or small remnants of the war.

Today there are over 170 via ferratas in the Dolomites. Let me know where you are on holiday in the Dolomites and how much experience you have in the mountains and we will find the right via ferrata for you.

VIA FERRATA FOR BEGINNERS

There are plenty of easy via ferratas for beginners in the Dolomites:

As a first via ferrata, I recommend the Small Cir on the Gardena Pass or the Ferrata Fusetti on the Sas the Stria on the Falzarego Pass.

Via ferrata Roda di Vael - Catinaccio group

The crossing of the Roda di Vael is a classic via ferrata in the Catinaccio group. The starting point is at the Paolina chairlift on the Carezza Pass. After a quick ascent on the chairlift, we have about 1.5 hours to hike to the Vajolon Pass. From here we follow a spectacular, relatively easy but exposed ridge to the summit. The crux is found on a short but very steep wall on the descent. If we still haven't had enough here, we'll add the Masare via ferrata before heading for the cake in the Rifugio Roda di Vael descend.

Length : 4-5h (+ 2 h Masare via ferrata)
Difficulty :  A/B Sections C
Group size: max. 5 participants
Price: from € 140 per person
Vallon via ferrata Piz da Lech

The Piz da Lech in the Sella Group is not only an ideal summit for base jumpers but also a cool via ferrata destination. The approach is relatively easy from Corvara with the gondola lift and then the chairlift. The via ferrata is not too long but it is steep and exposed

Length : 4-5h (2h via ferrata)
Difficulty :  B/C Medium difficulty
Group size: max. 5 participants
Price: from € 140 per person
Alpini via ferrata at Col dei Bos - Falzarego

The classic via ferrata on the Falzarego Pass is probably the Alpini via ferrata: short ascent but all the more climbing.

Length : 4-5h (3 h via ferrata)
Difficulty :  B/C constant
Group size: max. 5 participants
Price: from € 140 per person

Via ferrata Dolomites Traverses

There are a huge number of huts in the Dolomites. These allows us to make crossings and hut-to-hut traverses in combination with via ferratas of 2 to 6 days. Hut-to-hut hiking requires a good level of fitness, as we are on the move for several consecutive days. Technically speaking, we can do both easy and difficult via ferratas, depending on your wishes. Good hiking technique is required.
